Terms of Service

1. Who we are

JawMetric (jawmetric.com) is operated by [YOUR FULL NAME OR COMPANY NAME], [STREET ADDRESS, POSTCODE CITY], Belgium, company number [KBO/BCE NUMBER] ("we", "us"). Contact: support@jawmetric.com.

Payments are handled by Dodo Payments, which acts as the Merchant of Record and reseller of the service. That means your purchase contract is with Dodo Payments, which also handles payment, invoicing, sales tax and VAT. Dodo Payments's own terms apply to the checkout, and your bank statement will show a Dodo Payments charge.

2. What JawMetric is (and isn't)

• JawMetric finds points on your face in a photo and calculates proportions such as jaw angle, jaw-to-cheek ratio, symmetry and chin proportion. Scores are compared to commonly cited aesthetic ideals and shown on a scale we designed. The "potential" score is a motivational estimate, not a prediction or a promise.
• Results depend heavily on the photo: angle, lighting, lens, expression and head tilt all change the numbers. Two photos of the same person can give different scores.
• JawMetric is for entertainment and general self-improvement only. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat or assess any medical, dental or orthodontic condition, including overbite, underbite or jaw disorders. Talk to a doctor, dentist or orthodontist about any health concern.
• The tips in the report (hydration, posture, grooming, chewing gum and similar) are general lifestyle suggestions. Stop any exercise that causes pain or jaw discomfort.
• Attractiveness is subjective. A score says nothing about your worth as a person.

3. Who can use it

You must be at least 18 years old to buy a subscription. Only upload photos of yourself, or of someone who has clearly agreed to it. Don't upload photos of children.

4. Price, trial and automatic renewal

• The free scan shows your symmetry score. The full report, the 30-day plan and unlimited rescans need a subscription.
• Trial: €0.44, charged at checkout, for 3 days of full access.
• Subscription: unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription renews automatically at €30.32 per month, charged to the same payment method, then every month after that until you cancel.
• Prices include VAT where applicable. Dodo Payments may show the final price in your local currency at checkout.
• We'll tell you in advance by email about any price change. A price change applies from your next billing period, and you can cancel before then.

5. How to cancel

You can cancel anytime, with no cancellation fee:

• use the "Manage subscription" link in your Dodo Payments receipt email, or
• email support@jawmetric.com from the email address you paid with.

If you cancel during the trial, you won't be charged €30.32. If you cancel later, you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for, and you won't be charged again.

6. Right of withdrawal and refunds

EU consumers normally have 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase. Because the report is digital content delivered immediately, at checkout you ask for immediate access and confirm that you lose the right of withdrawal once the report is unlocked.

We still want you to be happy, so we offer this voluntary refund policy:

• Forgot to cancel? If you were charged a monthly renewal and haven't used JawMetric since, email us within 7 days of the charge and we'll refund it in full.
• Technical problems: if the scan or report didn't work and we can't fix it, we'll refund you.
• Refunds go back to your original payment method through Dodo Payments, usually within 5–10 business days.

This doesn't affect your statutory rights, including your rights when digital content is faulty.

7. Your photos and content

Your photo is analyzed in your own browser and is not uploaded to us. You keep all rights to your photos. See our Privacy Policy for details.

8. Acceptable use

Don't use JawMetric to harass, mock or rate other people without their consent, don't try to bypass the paywall or interfere with the site, and don't copy or resell the service.

9. Availability and changes

We may improve or change features over time. If we make a change that significantly reduces what you've paid for, or if we shut JawMetric down, you can cancel and get a pro-rata refund for any unused paid period. We may update these terms. If a change matters for your subscription, we'll email you before it takes effect.

10. Liability

We provide JawMetric with reasonable care and skill. We're not liable for decisions you make based on a score, or for indirect losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or your rights under consumer law.

11. Law and complaints

These terms are governed by Belgian law. If you're a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can go to the courts there. Please contact us first at support@jawmetric.com; we answer within 3 business days. You can also contact the Belgian Consumer Mediation Service (consumentenombudsdienst.be).
