Privacy Policy

The short version: your photo never leaves your device. The face scan runs inside your browser. We never receive, store or see your photo or your face measurements. Your payment details go to Dodo Payments, not to us.
1. Who is responsible

2. Your photo and face scan
- When you choose a photo, it's loaded and analyzed only in your browser, using face-landmark software that runs on your own device. The photo is never uploaded to our servers or to anyone else.
- To run the scan, your browser downloads the scanning software and model files from public servers (jsDelivr and Google). That download is like loading any website file. Your photo is not sent with it.
- We don't use your face to identify you, and we don't create or keep any biometric template.
- When you close or reload the page, the photo is gone. We keep no copy.
3. What's saved on your device
To show your report and progress chart again, JawMetric saves a few items in your browser's local storage. These are not cookies, and they're never sent to us:

4. Data other companies process

Some of these providers are based in, or use servers in, the United States. Where that happens, transfers are covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
5. Advertising and analytics
We currently don't use advertising pixels or analytics cookies. If we add them (for example TikTok or Meta pixels to measure our ads), we'll update this policy first and only load them after you agree in a cookie banner.
6. How long we keep data
- Photos and face measurements: never received, never kept.
- Order and billing records: kept as long as tax law requires (in Belgium, generally 7 years), mostly by Dodo Payments.
- Support emails: up to 2 years after the conversation ends.
- Hosting logs: kept by Netlify for a short period, as set by Netlify.
7. Children
JawMetric subscriptions are for people aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect data about anyone under 18. If you think a minor has bought a subscription, contact us and we'll cancel and refund it.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. To use these rights, email support@jawmetric.com. We answer within one month. For payment data held by Dodo Payments, we'll pass your request on or point you to Dodo Payments.
You can also complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority (dataprotectionauthority.be) or the authority in your own EU country.
9. Changes
If we change how we handle your data, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If the change is significant, we'll email subscribers.
